Bartonella

 Nursed him back to health a month and a half ago, from bartonella. He went today to get fixed and I get a phone call saying that he passed when they administered anesthesia. And now I’m sobbing. He was a feral kitty, but he knew we would help him when he was sick, and he trusted me, and I feel like I failed him.
